It's a pity because I feel it might be much stronger had certain areas got condensed or merged, for example I really enjoyed the Emerald Graves, but the Exalted Planes? Just the aforementioned but insufferably dull. I find a lot of the characters irritatingly twee with each passing hour though, (despite this Inky ended up romancing Sera somehow) I really do not like the new camera perspective for most conversations or certainly the dialogue system of ticking boxes at times, got a serious case of bloat as I'm 100+ hours in with only just now having finished the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest line but I have not tackled anything else yet in terms of the main quest. Making my way through Inquisition for the first time and, surprisingly finding myself enjoying it a great deal, just don't ever ever ever do Requisition missions. Onward to DAII! This will be my 2nd playthrough and I missed a lot the first time, so I'm looking forward to doing it again with a new worldstate and the DLCs I just bought (Every time Finn stopped to geek out about magic theory or take notes she was right there with him while Ariane tapped her foot impatiently in the background lmao.) I got way too attached to Ariane and Finn way too quickly and I desperately want them to appear in DA again. Loved learning about the connection btwn ancient elves and dwarves! My mage Warden was best friends with Morrigan and fascinated by occult stuff so it was something of a treasure hunt for her. Fun, creepy, but now that I've done it once I don't really feel the need to do it again on subsequent playthroughs.Īnd Witch Hunt. DA certainly does horror well (at least imo). Did a double take when I confronted the Harvester bc I had already played DAII and it looked like Orsino when he transforms into an abomination. I love Dwarven lore, so GoA was really interesting, if a bit tedious running around switching the lyrium on and off. Just finished Awakening last night and completed Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt for the first time! I really enjoyed all three.Īwakening was fantastic, loved the companions and the lore, but That Scene with The Mother during the final battle was enough to make me never wanna play it again lol. I should probably delete this character and re-install, but I am interested in seeing how Team Apathy's adventures play out. Cullen and Morrigan act like I annulled the Circle, but Irving's alive and promising mage support. Rest of the quest went on as normal until the end. I exited the game, enabled the console, and teleported myself to the next area. Got stuck in the Fade when a pedestal just wouldn't respond and no amount of reloading previous saves would fix it.

I guess she answered my question, but jeez.maybe she heard I didn't save the dog. When I asked Wynne what she intended to do, she turned hostile and attacked. (They do respond to gifts correctly, though.)

I am not gaining or losing approval with plot or dialogue choices. Despite having sunk a point into coercion, and having decent cunning, I am failing every persuasion/intimidate check and some dialogue options just aren't appearing. So, I had just Alistair and Morrigan with me when I reached the Circle Tower. I opted not to recruit the dog, Sten, or Leliana. Through a combination of bugs and bad decisions, I am having an interesting DAO playthrough.
